Abstract: The area of Shanghuangqi in northern Hebei has superior ore-forming conditions, with a large number of lead-zinc-silver polymetallic deposits, which has a good metallogenic prospect. By sum⁃ marizing the regional geological, geophysical and geochemical characteristics, combined with the distribu⁃ tion of known deposits, the genesis of deposits is analyzed from the basic geological attributes. The results show that the mineralization of lead-zinc-silver polymetallic deposits in this area is obviously controlled by strata, structure and magmatic rock, and the Neoarchean basement metamorphic rock strata are important source beds. The complex tectonic activities provide spatial conditions for the intrusion of regional magma and the enrichment of mineral elements. The volcanic edifices in the area provide channels for the rise of materials in the crust and provide heat and power for the migration of beneficial elements. On the one hand, intensive magmatic activity provides a large amount of ore-forming heat flow,on the other hand,it provides abundant ore-forming materials. The ore-forming materials are activated and migrated through the heat source provided by fault activity, volcanic activity and magmatic intrusion, and finally enriched and mineralized in favorable ore-hosting structures.
