According to the ore-dilution problem existing in ore drawing process of Tongkeng mine, numerical simulation analysis of ore drawing with the flat hopper and ore drawing with the sloping hopper were carried out using Particle Flow Code (PFC). Taking ore recovery rate and dilution rate as the detection index, advantages and disadvantages of these two ore drawing modes were analyzed, and the numerical results were compared. The results indicate that it's feasible to adopt the sloping ore drawing in Tongkeng mine, and ore drawing with the sloping hopper is recommended.

Cementing material is the core of slurry preparation and design in mine tailings cementing filling technology. It's not only the key index which decides backfill strength, but also the most important factor to technological cost. According to the problems like large consumption, high cost and poor performance existed in traditional tailings cementing material, blast furnace slag and its activator as the raw material were discussed, and new cementitious materials with low cost and good performance is developed.

Experiment of a pyrite cinder comprehensive recovery and utilization was done. The result indicated, combine process of water-washing pre-treatment—cyanide leaching—leaching residue magnetic separation was the best to adopt. Leaching rate of gold could reach to 41%,qualified iron concentrate of grade 60.90% and iron recovery rate 79.44% could obtained, indexes were ideal, comprehensive recovery and utilization of resources were realized.

The iron ore in Hubei province is chlorite type magnetite ore, dissemination size of this iron ore is fine and grade is only 12.69%,iron concentrate grade is hard above 60% by using single magnetic separation method. Through experiment of stage grinding-low intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation process was done on this magnetite, iron concentrate of grade 63.72% and recovery rate 42.48% were obtained, provided reference for development and utilization of this kind of iron ore resource.

In view of unclear inducement mechanism of microseism incidents, mathematical model was established under the condition of structural stress on fault activity induced microseism incidents. Based on this model, the chance of microseism incidents was derived and source parameter was studied, mechanical relationship was drawn between the fault activity and microseism incidents.

On the basis of practical datas of a mined-out area in No.6 Pingdingshan coal mine, 11 main factors were analyzed. Due to the interaction among these factors, mined-out area stability evaluation index system was established. Two-level comprehensive evaluation model was set up by using multi-level fuzzy mathematics method, and weights of each factors were confirmed with analytic hierarchy process. The stability of this mined-out area was evaluated, and the results were close to the reality. It provides reference and basis for mined-out area control.
