The number of belt conveyors in an iron mine of Fujian is very large. In order to reduce the impact of frequent faults of belt conveyors on production,based on the analysis of common faults of belt con⁃ veyors in the mine,the management control and protection system of belt conveyors is studied and analyzed. The results show that the application of the longitudinal tear detection technology based on the principle of optical triangle ranging,the longitudinal tear detection method of belt based on AI image recognition tech⁃ nology,DCS system detection,current abnormal mutation detection,belt conveyor running state detection can find the problem in the first time after the belt failure and take effective measures to prevent the develop⁃ ment of the situation,resume production as soon as possible,and minimize the loss caused by the belt fail⁃ ure.
