In order to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of a low zinc blast furnace ash in Tangshan and achieve the requirements of zinc powder into the kiln zinc grade of about 6%,the cyclone classification separation + spiral separator separation test was carried out. The results show that: ①The blast furnace ash with zinc grade of 1.75% was separated by one roughing one cleaning two-stage cyclone separa⁃ tion. Finally,zinc powder with zinc grade of 5.96% and 6.27%,zinc recovery of 47.10% and 44.21% were obtained. ②For the underflow of the two-stage cyclone with yield of about 15%,the spiral separator is used to separate iron and carbon. The iron grades of the inner ring products of the spiral separator are 47.76% and 48.98%,respectively,which can be used as low-grade iron products or incorporated into the underflow 1 to carry out subsequent iron separation tests. The iron grade of the middle ring and outer ring products of the spiral separator is about 34%,and the heat value is about 2 500 cal/ kg. The iron grade and heat are not high,and the particle size is fine and the treatment is difficult. There is no significance of reprocessing or as a separate product. The study determined the ideal zinc recovery process,which can be used as the basis for development and utilization.
