Abstract: Mineral resources in Inner Mongolia is rich. With the release of the national opinions on accelerating the construction of ecological civilization in 2015，the construction of green mines has become a general trend of moderate exploitation of mineral resources. Green mine construction is of great significance to realize the transformation and upgrading of Inner Mongolia mining industry，promote the economic development in the whole region，and build the important ecological security barrier in the north. Based on this， the construction process，achievements and main problems of green mine in Inner Mongolia were analyzed and summarized. And then suggestions from the aspects of green mine construction of sand and gravel soil and small non-metallic mines，green mining demonstration area construction，green mine construction support policy，green mine construction publicity and so on were put forward combined with the actual situation in Inner Mongolia，so as to provide reference for green mine construction management，green mine builders and related researchers in Inner Mongolia.
