Abstract: The SOKOROSHE copper-cobalt deposit is located in the Congo (Kinshasa) sub belt of the Central African copper belt, with developed folds and faults, and good metallogenic geological condi⁃ tions. Starting from the ore-forming geological background, this paper summarizes the geological character⁃ istics of the ore deposits, analyzes the related literature and ore-controlling factors, and then analizes the typical ore deposits in the belt, points out that there are both commonalities and particularities among the ore deposits. The research results show that the deposit is mainly located in Enguba Group, with various types of surrounding rocks, and the main ore bearing lithology is structural breccia. The orebodies are strati⁃ fied and veined, with branching and compound phenomena, and obviously controlled by fault structures. The ore mineral assemblage is relatively simple, mainly malachite, chalcopyrite, chalcogenite, hydroco⁃ balt. The strata of Enguba Group provides good provenance foundation and conditions, and the sublevel NW-trending faults provide space, motive force for the formation of deposits. The peacock petritization on the surface of the deposit is the most direct prospecting indicator, and“copper grass”and“cobalt bamboo shoot”can be used as plant prospecting indicator, which has certain reference significance for the mineral deposit exploration in the region.
