Experimental Study on Iron Recovery by Magnetic Separation from Cyanide Tailings

In order to comprehensively recycle iron from cyanide tailings in a containing gold silver polymetallic oxide ore,an experimental study on iron recovery from cyanide tailings by low intensity magnet⁃ ic separation and high intensity magnetic separation was carried out.The test results show that under the con⁃ dition that the magnetic field intensity of low intensity magnetic roughing is 238.85 kA/m,the magnetic field intensity of low intensity magnetic cleaning is 159.24 kA/m,and the magnetic induction intensity of high in⁃ tensity magnetic separation of low intensity magnetic roughing tailings is 1 200 mT,the low intensity mag⁃ netic iron concentrate with total iron grade of 64.08% and iron recovery rate of 21.11% and the high intensity magnetic iron concentrate with total iron grade of 45.81% and iron recovery rate of 40.31% are obtained by low intensity magnetic-high intensity magnetic separation process. The comprehensive total iron recovery rate is 61.42%,which achieves the purpose of comprehensive recovery and utilization of iron resources.
