Application of 3D Laser Scanning Technology Combined with 3DS MAX in Reverse Modeling of Buildings

Aiming at the problems of low data acquisition efficiency,low model accuracy and unreal
model effect in the reverse modeling of buildings,a method of reverse modeling of buildings by 3D laser
scanning technology combined with 3DS MAX is proposed.The multi-station scanning of the target building
is carried out by using the stand-up 3D laser scanner,and the multi-station cloud data is registered and de⁃
noised by SCENE software to generate the 3D point cloud.Based on the three-dimensional point cloud,the
orthophoto of each facade of the building is generated,and the image is imported into Auto CAD and the
two-dimensional plane and facade vector diagram of the building is drawn.The vector diagram of each plane
and facade is imported into 3DS MAX software,and the three-dimensional model of the target building is
generated through the process of establishing white mold and texture mapping. Finally,the accuracy of the
model is verified.The results show that this method can efficiently establish a three-dimensional model of
buildings with high precision and realistic effect.
