Abstract: In order to solve the problem of underground water gushing in the process of shaft excava⁃ tion of a metal mine，the hydrogeological conditions of the mine are studied and analyzed，and the pregrouting technology is put forward to strengthen the surrounding rock by plugging water.Through the analy⁃ sis of the stratum in the broken zone and the effective control of the grouting pressure and the grouting time，the engineering application was successfully completed. In the driving process，the shaft smoothly passed though the bedrock aquifer and the remaining water inflow after grouting was 3.37 m³/h.The innova⁃ tive research on the design of the shaft surface pregrouting project and the construction process is of great significance to popularize the surface pregrouting of metal mine.
