Abstract: Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and poor economy in thin coal seam mining，the optimization schemes of thin coal seam excavation，roof cutting entry and fully mechanized mining layout are put forward. At the same time，based on the study of the characteristics of the existing fully-mecha⁃ nized mining equipment，the scheme of fully-mechanized mining in thin coal seam is proposed by using the new contour shearer and hydraulic support automatic control technology. The practical application shows that the optimized fully mechanized mining technology can reduce the number of underground work⁃ ers by 73.3%，and improve the efficiency of underground fully mechanized mining by 17.4%，which great⁃ ly improves the efficiency and reliability of underground fully mechanized mining.
