Abstract: A gold-copper mine in Xinjiang is located in a high-altitude mining area. In order to pro⁃ tect the surface environment to the maximum extent, the most reasonable centralized transportation and ex⁃ port surface scheme is required. In combination with the development system, three schemes for ore con⁃ centration out of the surface are proposed, namely, belt transport scheme(Scheme I),underground truck transport scheme(Scheme II)and unmanned electric locomotive transport scheme(Scheme III),and are compared and analyzed from the aspects of process flow, project investment, operation cost, surface eco⁃ logical environment protection, underground environment, etc. The results show that the belt transportation scheme has the advantages of good production connection, short process flow, less land occupation, less surface environmental damage, low overall operating cost, and effectively solves the problem of ore freez⁃ ing in winter, which is the optimal centralized transportation scheme. The optimized scheme provides guid⁃ ance for the development and transportation of environmentally sensitive high altitude mines.
