Application of UAV Tilt Photography Technology in 3D Modeling of an Open-pit Mine

Abstract: The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) tilt photography technology is a cutting-edge mine surveying technology,which is currently in a rapid development stage. Through the analysis and research on the development background,system composition,technical principle and technical characteristics of UAV tilt photography technology,it is considered that compared with the traditional total station surveying and mapping technology,UAV tilt photography technology has the advantages of authenticity,high efficien⁃ cy,flexibility and emergency response. An open-pit mine of Conch Cement adopts UAV tilt photography technology,which not only realizes the establishment of 3D model and meets the requirements of conven⁃ tional surveying and mapping technology of the mine,but also integrates the aerial photography model into the 3D visual management and control platform of the mine,builds the intelligent decision support system of the mine,and realizes the realistic production and operation scene,which is of great significance for pro⁃ moting the digital construction of open-pit mines.
