Study on Temperature Field Characteristics of Fully Mechanized Caving Goaf Based on Multivariate Variables

Abstract: In order to explore the distribution characteristics of the temperature field in the fully mechanized caving goaf under different air supply conditions and advancing speeds,and to understand the temperature change law in the process of low-temperature oxidation of the coal left in the gob,the 42201 fully mechanized caving goaf of Buertai Coal Mine was taken as the study object.The gob-flow field,oxygen concentration field and temperature field control equations were constructed,and the three-dimensional nu⁃ merical simulation of the low-temperature oxidation process of the coal remaining in the 42201 fully mecha⁃ nized caving goaf was carried out by using the FLUENT software,and the reasonable air distribution volume of the 42201 working face was determined as 1 920 m3/min,and the reasonable advancing speed is 4 m/d. At the same time,the monitoring of the on-site temperature and oxygen concentration can better control the development process of spontaneous combustion of coal leftovers in the goaf. The study results show that in the initial stage of working face mining,the heating rate of the maximum coal temperature in the gob is first fast and then slow in the direction of the trend,and then gradually decreases after reaching the maximum point.When the gob moves inside,the temperature is higher.Speeding up the advancing speed can reduce the maximum temperature of the coal left in the gob.
