Abstract: High Bench dumping process makes the dump presents a trendcy of high and steep slope, and rainfall is an important cause of inducing high and steep slope to slide.Taking the high and steep slope drainage field in a rainy area as an example, through the example of a high and steep slope dump which is in abundant rainfall area, seepage evolution regularity and stability analysis under long duration rainfall is done. The results show that:the higher the height of the dump, the smaller the influence of rainfall on the distribution of pore water pressure;the stability of slope is controlled by two sliding modes of deep layer and shallow layer in different rainfall periods;the decrease rate of anti-slip stability coefficient caused by rainfall is greater than the increase rate of safety coefficient after raining.
