Abstract: Water seepage phenomenon appears at the bottom of subsidiary dam slope of the tailings of an iron mine in Chengde City,the safety risks is significant.Through geological exploration and water seepage causes analysis,the integrated measures such as overburden the slope surface by waste rocks,reducing dam slope gradient and setting seepage drainage facilities are proposed.The applications results of the above technical measures show that safety risks of the bottom of subsidiary dam is eliminated,safety of the subsidiary dam is guaranteed,which can provide reliable reference for the treatment of safety risks of the similar tailings.
