Abstract: In order to provide technical bases for developing and utilizing a refractory hematite ore from Yunnan Province,beneficiation experiment of direct flotation firstly and then reverse flotation was conducted based on the process mineralogy of the ore.The results showed that at the grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 90.0%，direct flotation dispersant Na₂CO₃ dosage of 3 000 g/t，collector(the ratio of paraffin soap oxidated and tall oil was 1 to 1) dosage of 700 g/t，reverse flotation inhibitor starch dosage of 1 200 g/t，activator CaO dosage of 1 200 g/t，collector RA-715 dosage of 400 g/t，NaOH adjusting ore pulp pH=11.5,iron concentrate with grade of 60.50% and recovery rate of 80.95% was obtained via one roughing-one scavenging direct flotation and one roughing-one cleaning-three scavenging reverse flotation,middlings sequential returning combination flowsheet.
