Abstract: In order to reduce the dressing production cost of a low grade pegmatite type spodumene,it predicted that using heavy medium separation process could discard nearly 70% coarse tailings and obtain spodumene concentrate with Li₂O grade of 5.25%,recovery rate of 63.70%.For the sake of increasing the recovery rate of beneficiation,flotation experiment study was conducted by using collector EL,and spodumene concentrate with Li₂O grade of 4.12%,recovery rate of 80.76% was obtained.To some extent，concentration discarding tailings process could eliminate the influence of slime on the concentration and reduce the meta loss in ore slime.The research results had certain significance to the technical transformation of the processing plant.
