Numerical Simulation on the Law of Overlying Strata Movement of Large Mining Height Face

Abstract: The mining height of 11050 working face in No.2 Coal Mine of Zhaogu is 6 m , and strata behaviors are obvious in the process of face mining,According to the situation, the law of overlying strata movement of large mining height face with thin bedrock is numerical simulated. The simulation results shows that, the first weighting step of immediate roof and main roof is 17 m and 35 m respectively, and periodic weighting step distance of main roof is from 11 m to 16 m. When mining distance is 60 m,thedisplacement angle of strata is nearly 62° at open-off cut. The above research results can provide some reference for ensuring the safe and efficient production of 11050 working face and the study on the law of overlying strata movement with similar condition as well.
