Abstract: In open-pit metal mine truck type and model choice are of great significance. Model selection is a complex work, and there are many factors to consider. Taking a mine as an example, determine of the specifications of mine trucks and selection of the types of mine trucks are analysed, and the principles, methods and steps of determining the specifications of mine trucks. Besides that, the attentions of selecting the mine trucks makers and types are analysed from the perspective of technical performance, technological economy and traffic safety so as to provide some reference for making scientific decisions.
