Abstract: Red shale of Yongshaba Mine of Guizhou Kailin Group is layered rock mass of gentle inclined, bedding plane angle scope is 0°~45°. Initial deformation amount of surrounding rock deformation was large, increasing speed was high, and had the trend of growth rate decreases gradually with increase over time after chamber excavation, chamber surrounding rock of high stress soft nature layered rock mass had characteristics of bias and rheology, and unsupported chamber unstable deformation happened due to instability and destroy finally.
