Study on Granulation—Gas Based Magnetic Roasting Technology for Low Grade Limonite

Abstract

Abstract: For a low grade limonite iron(30.16%), Experimental study adopted Granulation—Gas based Magnetic Roasting—Magnetic separation Technology. Magnetization roasting conditions: ball grain for 5~2 mm, mixed gas CO, and CO₂, and N₂ volume than for 1∶2∶2, magnetization roasting material layer thickness for 200 mm, roasting temperature for 725 ℃, insulation time for 10 min. Magnetic Sorting criteria: grinding fineness to -0.074 mm for 85%, weak magnetic field strength for 100 kA/m.Iron grade 59.78% and recovery 86.19% concentrate can be received.
