Abstract: Using equivalent linear method to analysis the dynamic response and stability of a tailings dam and accumulation. The result shows that the acceleration and displacement distributions of the current tailings dam body are basically the same as those of the embankmemt body up to elevation 1 375 m,the ex⁃ treme value of the acceleration and displacement response appears in crest region, and the embankmemt el⁃ evation of tailings dam has little influence on the acceleration and dynamic displacement of the dam body; the maximum value of the dynamic shear stress appears near the foundation surface and decreases gradually towards the dam slope and dam crest, and as the embankmemt elevation rises, the maximum value of the shear stress increases;under dynamic action, there is no transfixion liquefaction region in the current dam body and the embankmemt body up to elevation 1 375 m of the tailings pond, and the dynamic stability safe⁃ ty factor of the embankmemt body up to elevation 1 375 m is lower than that of the current dam body, but it also can meet the requirements of anti-sliding stability, and the dam body as a whole is safe and reliable af⁃ ter ore drawing scale is expanded.
