Abstract: The iron grade of flotation tailings of Donganshan Sintering Plant is 29.42%，in which the main impurity is SiO₂. A series of experiments has been carried out to recover the iron minerals. The results showed that the magnetic concentrate with iron grade of 48.39% was obtained with one roughing-one cleaning magnetic separation when the grinding fineness of -0.025 mm was accounting for 95%. One roughing， two cleaning，two scavenging，and middlings sequence return process was adopted under the condition of pulp pH of 11.5，temperature of 40 ℃，starch dosage of 900 g/t，CaO dosage of 1 100 g/t，TD-2 dosage in roughing of 500 g/t and cleaning of 200 g/t and the total iron grade of the reverse flotation concentrate was increased by 37.03% to 66.45%. The recovery rate of total iron was 39.29%，and the content of main impurity SiO₂ was reduced from 42.56% to 2.35%. The ideal effect of iron recovery was realized.
