Abstract: The green mine evaluation index plays an important guiding role in the declaration of green mines by mining enterprises and the third-party evaluation. Based on the green mine evaluation index，combined with 100 sets of green mine evaluation reports or third-party evaluation reports studied，the evaluation index is divided into three categories according to the application characteristics of the standard，and the direction of index modification from the perspective of basic characteristics，the key work to be done when creating characteristics and the key points to be grasped by the evaluation institutions from the perspective of evaluation characteristics are analyzed. The results show that the current green mine evaluation index some problems，such as improper weight distribution，the evaluation method needs to be im⁃ proved，and the pertinence should be strengthened. The management and system of the third-party evaluation institutions need to be improved，and the ability and professional quality of the evaluators need to be improved. Finally，some suggestions are put forward in terms of optimizing the green mine evaluation index，strengthening the learning of all parties on the evaluation index，and improving the management of third-party evaluation institutions，which will provide reference for the construction and development of green mines in the future.
