Abstract: In order to improve the recovery rate of iron tailings in the concentrator and reduce the loss rate of iron metal，on the basis of the original process flow，ZX15-8 disc self-unloading magnetic separation and recovery machine was added to the tailings chute in Zhongguan Iron Mine，and the tailings recov⁃ ery process flow was optimized. The optimization results show that the iron recovery rate of tailings can be improved by changing the height of the rear baffle of the disc dump magnetic separator (the best is 300 mm)，the slurry flow rate (the best angle between the feeding reducer and the feeding chute is 90°) and the components in the slurry tank (the guide plate and the stirring block are mixed). The successful application of the equipment can not only ensure the yield of iron concentrate，but also provide a feasible way to im⁃ prove the recovery rate of tailings，and the economic benefit is remarkable.
