Abstract: The leakage problem of drainage chute in a tailings reservoir in China was investigated and analyzed，and the causes of sand leakage were determined.The deformation of drainage chute under the accumulation of overlying tailings with different thicknesses was simulated and calculated，and the deforma⁃ tion was obtained.At the same time，aiming at the problem of drainage chute leakage，a double liquid grout⁃ ing plugging scheme is proposed.After implementation，good treatment effect has been achieved，which can provide reference for mines to solve similar problems.
