Abstract: Devonian sedimentary strata are widely developed in the hot spring area of West Tianshan. The Hanjiga Group in the Adgenbulag area of Wenquan County，Xinjiang is characterized by conglomerate， lithic sandstone and a small amount of marbleized crystalline dolomite limestone.The clastics of sedimenta⁃ ry rocks are mainly acidic volcanic rocks and clastic sandstones，mainly from the island arc transition zone， and some may come from the uncut oceanic active island arc area.Through field detailed profile surveying and sedimentary environment analysis，combined with the identification of the rock and mineral in the labo⁃ ratory，the depositional environment and provenance characteristics of the Hanjiga Group are comprehen⁃ sively analyzed.It is considered that the Middle Devonian Hanjiga Group was a turbulent coastal sedimenta⁃ ry environment，and its main tectonic environment was close to the active continental margin environment.
