The cases of China's iron ore producing and importing in recent years were analyzed. As demand increasing, the price of iron ore was mounting steadily, the cutoff grade of domestic iron ore mine had decreased gradually, which caused the domestic crude ore production was increasing greatly while the concentrate production didn't increase correspondingly, the degree of China's iron ore external dependence was increasing year by year. To solve the problem, China's Iron & Steel Industry should speed up eliminating backward productivity, improve the utilization rate of iron ore during smelting process, increase domestic iron ore production capacity,meanwhile, increase the interest iron ore ratio in imported ore by oversea investment.

Roof collapse is one of serious and normal engineering disaster in the underground exploitation process of metal mine. Aiming at the rock properties of layered roof of Sinosteel Group Cangshan Iron Mine, destroy process of strata and influence law of each factors were analyzed. 3-D numerical mechanical analysis model was established by using FLAC3D software. The stress-strain analysis was done on roof, changing destroy law of roof in condition of different delamination-terrane thickness and buried depth and other factors under depth of 50~300 m were studied through numerical analysis software.

Based on three-dimensional orebody modeling technology, the blast-hole distributing and blasting network design of open-pit mine bench blasting was studied. Which had been successfully used in blasting project design at 1414 northern bench of Sandaozhuang Open-pit Mine of Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Industry Group Co,Ltd. The result indicated that the blasting design system blasting plan is scientific and effective, and the blasting design working efficiency has been improved greatly.

On the basis of research results like geological data, ground stress distribution law, rock mechanics parameter indexes and so on, analysis and forecast were done on rock burst probability of Luohe Iron Mine by adopted various kinds of rock burst criterion separately, controlled the tendency of underground rock burst. The result indicated, probability of rock burst of ash tuff, secondary quartzite, altered trachyandensite were little, but rock burst possibilities of three typical rocks of alkaline feldspathic rock , paste pyroxenite and magnetite were all above average, with the increase of depth, the level of rock burst was greater. The results provided technical support for safe and efficient production of mine.

In order to study the mine fire's development law under the impact of multi-parameter, fire dynamics simulator software (FDS) was adopt to inspect the influence from each parameters changing to the ventilation of laneway when fire happened.The result showed the laneway crown temperature rose from 45 ℃ to 200 ℃ when the fire power increased from 180kW to 1800kW; the laneway crown temperature was from about 75~80 ℃ on average under different dip angles of laneway,which indicated that the impact of the dip angles upon the crown temperature was small. As the laneway ventilation speed increased from 0.5m/s to 3m/s, the laneway maximum air stream velocity increased from 4.60m/s to 515m/s, the distribution of upwind laneway velocity was enven and was difficult to produce circumfluence,however that of the downwind laneway velocity was disorderly and the fume layer was destroyed. This study achievement has the important and practice significance for mine fire prevention.

Coal mine gas explosion is a complex process which is influenced by many factors together. Based on the mechanism and characteristics of coal mine gas explosion accident, the relationship between all influence factors was analyzed by using entropy method. By integrating the subjective and objective factors, confirming the weighing of all influence factors, fuzzy comprehensive coal gas explosion risk evaluation model on the basis of entropy weight was established. The evaluation was done on gas explosion risk of one mine, and the result was consistent with practical situation, had a certain practical using value.
