Abstract: Aiming at the problem of serious deformation and failure of composite roof in 182705 return airway of Wutongzhuang Mine，the causes of failure of traditional anchor net cable combined support are analyzed，and the support method of combining high prestressed long and short anchor cables is proposed to control the deformation and failure of composite roof. The application results show that the maximum roof subsidence is reduced to less than 45 mm，and the deformation of the two sides is reduced to less than 30 mm. This technology ensures the safety of roadway，improves the efficiency of solid coal roadway excavation，reduces the support cost of composite roof roadway，and provides technical support for rapid excavation of composite roof roadway.
