Abstract: In order to solve the problem of environmental pollution and water resource waste caused by the difficult in utilization of the overflow water from polymetallic tailings pond in Hunan Province,a feasibil⁃ ity study was conducted on the reuse of treated wastewater for flotation fluorite from on-site tungsten tailings (CaF2 content of 20% to 22%). The results showed that the wastewater with high alkalinity and high COD treated by sodium hypochlorite oxidation,electro-oxidation,activated carbon adsorption and Fenton oxidation process could effectively reduce the COD of wastewater, and electro-oxidation,activated carbon adsorption and Fenton oxidation process could reduce the turbidity of wastewater. Compared with the wastewater directly reused for fluorite flotation, the flotation effects of the treated wastewater from each process were improved, with the best effect of the activated carbon adsorption process. The concentrate index of fluorite flotation was close to the laboratory clear water, with CaF2 concentrate grade of 95.63% and recovery rate of 43.16%,which means the treated water by the activated carbon adsorption process can be reused in fluorite flotation process.
