Abstract: The metallogenic potential of sandstone-type uranium deposits in Zhaosu Basin is analyzed to provide a reserve mineral base for Yili Basin. Based on the geological survey of uranium deposits in Zhao⁃ su Basin in recent years, the ore-controlling factors of sandstone-type uranium deposits such as structure, lithology, lithofacies and interlayer oxidation zone are studied, and the metallogenic conditions of sand⁃ stone-type uranium deposits in Zhaosu Basin are analyzed and evaluated. The research shows that the tec⁃ tonic activity of Zhaosu Basin is strong, but there is a relatively stable area in the tectonic activity area, which has the metallogenic conditions of forming interlayer oxidation zone sandstone type uranium deposit. The Jurassic ore-bearing formation is widely developed and distributed in the northern depression zone of the basin to the north of the Adentao Mountain. The Jurassic Xishanyao Formation and Toutunhe Formation sand bodies and interlayer oxidation zones are more developed, and uranium mineralization or uranium anomalies such as Qiulakemeisi are found. The sand body, interlayer oxidation zone and uranium mineraliza⁃ tion are developed in the northern side of the Adentao Mountain and the piedmont area of the northern Wu⁃ zongbulake, and the burial depth is relatively shallow, which can be used as the preferred area for the next exploration and evaluation work.
