Abstract: In view of the blasting demolition condition of highly weathered brick- concrete structure chimney under the constraint of the bottom kiln body,the collapse direction,notch height and blasting pa⁃ rameters of the chimney are determined by fully analyzing the structure and mechanical characteristics of the chimney body and combining with the characteristics of the surrounding environment. The blasting vi⁃ bration and the impact range of flying rocks are calculated through theoretical formulas,and the corre⁃ sponding blasting safety protection measures are formulated. In order to verify the rationality of blasting scheme design,ANSYS/LS-DYNA numerical simulation software is used to establish a three-dimensional finite element model of the chimney based on the integral modeling method and apply notch element failure to simulate the collapse effect of the chimney. The simulation results show that the bottom kiln body has rel⁃ atively little influence on the collapse process of the chimney,and the chimney collapses along the design direction. After the on-site drilling and blasting,the chimney collapse impact caused the top part of the kiln body to be broken,the chimney did not shift to both sides as a whole,collapsed along the design di⁃ rection,the cylinder was completely separated from the ground,and the blasting vibration and flying rock hazards were within the controllable range.
