Abstract: In order to verify the washability of deep ore in an iron mine and provide guidance for pro⁃ duction, the chemical composition, mineral content and ore structure of the ore were studied by chemical multi-element analysis, iron phase analysis, scanning electron microscopy and optical microscopy. The re⁃ sults show that the main metal mineral in the iron ore is magnetite, followed by hematite and siderite, with a total iron grade of 37.82%. The main gangue minerals are calcite, quartz and feldspar. The ore mainly pres⁃ ents massive, porphyritic and disseminated structures. The ore structure is mainly granular structure, por⁃ phyritic structure and metasomatic residual structure. The distribution rates of the main useful minerals magnetite, hematite and siderite at -0.07 mm are 49.80%, 57.89% and 43.99%, respectively. The distribu⁃ tion rates of the main gangue minerals calcite, quartz and feldspar in -0.07 mm are 40.76%, 69.07% and 63.34%, respectively. Based on the study of process mineralogy of the ore, it is suggested to adopt the pro⁃ cess of classification-pre-selection-grinding-sulphur flotation-low intensity magnetic separation-medium magnetic separation-high intensity magnetic separation-flotation.
