Abstract: In order to rationally develop and utilize an iron ore in Hebei, the beneficiation process test was carried out on the basis of ore properties. The results show that the iron concentrate with iron grade of 65.67%,sulfur content of 0.51%,iron recovery of 83.95% and magnetic iron recovery of 96.09% can be obtained by dry magnetic separation preconcentration(50~0 mm)-wet magnetic separation preconcentra⁃ tion(12~0 mm)-grinding(-0.076 mm55%)-low intensity magnetic separation process. The iron concen⁃ trate is semi-self-fluxing iron concentrate powder. The iron concentrate is desulfurized by flotation, and the sulfur in the iron concentrate can be reduced to 0.23%. By increasing the grinding fineness to -0.076 mm75%,the iron concentrate with iron grade of 68.50%,sulfur content of 0.43% and iron recovery of 82.86% can be obtained by low intensity magnetic separation. It shows that increasing the grinding fineness and increasing the flotation operation can reduce the sulfur content in the iron concentrate and improve the iron concentrate grade.
