Abstract: The types of emerald ore deposit are introduced, basic situation of pneumatolytic hydrothermal type deposits, exploration process, planning and designing of small and medium-sized open-pit mine, sorting and rating of emerald ore in Zambia are analysed in detail. The exploration method of Miku mine is recommended, unpredictability and high risks of Exploring the emerald mine are analysed. The research results of this paper can provide some reference for the emerald ore exploration works in other countries and regions.
