Research on Reconcentration of Flotation Tailings from a Ore Dressing Plant Using Flotation Column

Abstract: In order to reduce the grade of floating tailing from a ore dressing plant, experimental researches were conducted to recycle the hematite from flotation tailings with the TFe grade above 16%. Above all, a mss of grinding and magnetic separation condition experiments were carried out to determine the optimal process parameters, on the basis of which, we presented one roughing—two cleaning—two scavenging open circuit flotation test followed by one roughing—one cleaning—one scavenging open circuit flotation column test. Results proved product indicators of flotation column were better than that of flotation machine. One roughing—one cleaning—one scavenging closed circuit flotation column test was conducted and a favourable product index was obtained with the concentrate grade of 65.29%, floating tailing grade of 11.48%, concentrate rate of 56.18% and concentrate recovery of 87.94%.
