Abstract: Aiming at a refractory iron ore, mainly useful minerals are hematite and limonite, in Shandong province, by using conventional mineral processing methods can not effectively recover its iron. Under the conditions of bituminous coal ratio of 20%, limestone ratio of 25%, the reduction time of 2 h, the reduction temperature of 1 200 ℃, carried out reduction roasting-magnetic separation, iron minerals will be reduced to metallic iron, then through low intensity magnetic separation, iron grade of 92.38%, iron recovery of 92.36% was obtained.SEM analysis revealed iron exists in the form of metallic iron in iron concentrate。
