Abstract: The general development trend shows a good prospect though there is some fluctuation in resource market in recent years, and it provides a good chance for the transform and development of the old mines. Because of the history reason, the old mines meet many difficulties during the production and management and continues development. Combined with the production and management of the Shirengou iron mine, it focuses on the strategic measures which were: reasonable exploitation of resource; technological advance of mine and mineral processing; replace outdated process equipment; cycle utilization of wastewater and waste residue; reducing the occupied area furthest to implement environment protection; so it can be achieved the renewal transformation and leaping development for the old mine.
