Abstract: In order to solve the problems of low informationization of belt conveyor operation,long dis⁃ tance along the route,high intensity of personnel work,high cost of operation and maintenance,and high frequency of equipment inspection caused by harsh environment in a large open-pit mine at high altitude in China,based on the research and development status of inspection robots at home and abroad,an intelligent inspection robot for belt conveyor system with multi-sensor fusion is proposed.Combined with auxiliary vi⁃ sion and lidar to obtain multi-source information such as image information,sound signal and environmen⁃ tal parameters of belt conveyor,fault diagnosis of key parts of belt conveyor is carried out.The application re⁃ sults show that the belt intelligent inspection system can realize the all-round monitoring and analysis of the running state of the system,and can effectively improve the accuracy and execution efficiency of the inspec⁃ tion.
