Abstract: In order to improve the grinding efficiency of ball mill, taking magnesite from Liaoning Haimei concentrator as the research object, three key parameters of medium filling rate, ore volume and water volume are selected as the research object, and the newly generated -0.074 mm particle size product quality is used as the evaluation index. The independent influence of each parameter on the grinding effect is investigated by single factor test. The test results show that the suitable grinding medium filling rate is 40%,the water volume is 200 mL,and the ore volume is 700 g. At this time, the grinding concentration is 77.77%,the material-ball ratio is 0.067,and the utilization coefficient of the ball mill is 0.653 t/(m³·h). Under the experimental conditions, the mass of the newly generated - 0.074 mm particle size product is 271.89 g. Compared with the laboratory grinding test of the actual production parameters, the medium fill⁃ ing rate is increased by 13.33%,the grinding concentration is increased by 3.70%,the ratio of material to ball is increased by 4.70%,the mass of the newly generated -0.074 mm product is increased by 12.07%, and the utilization coefficient of the ball mill is increased by 4.80%.By optimizing the key process parame⁃ ters, the interaction between different parameters can be effectively reduced and the utilization efficiency of ball mill can be improved.
