Abstract: In order to optimize the structural parameters of the stope for ore body ramp pillar recovery and improve mine safety. The study focuses on the 3# ramp pillar of the Southeast ore body and proposes a mining scheme combining pre-controlled downward medium-deep hole open stopping with delayed filling and layered drift filling methods. Given the ore body’s large burial depth, frequent ground pressure activi⁃ ties, complex pillar recovery conditions, and high mining difficulty, geological surveys, rock mechanics tests, rock mass quality classification, and stability evaluation were conducted. Combined with numerical simulation, the stability of the surrounding rock in the stope is analyzed to determine reasonable stope struc⁃ tural parameters and mining processes, ensuring safe and efficient pillar extraction and stable production of the Southeast ore body. The results indicate that when the stope span is 9.0 m for the pre-controlled down⁃ ward medium-deep hole open stoping method and 10.0 m for the layered drift filling method to ensure rock stability. The stope's production capacity is about 274 t/d,with a dilution rate of 7.5%,a recovery rate of 91%,and a stripping ratio of about 89 m³/kt. This scheme offers practical application and reference value for the recovery of deep-buried,complex pillars affected by frequent ground pressure activity, providing techni⁃ cal guidance for similar mining projects.
