Optimization Production Practice of Mineral Processing Process for a Lead-Zinc Sulfide Mine in Shaanxi Province

Abstract: In order to improve the production capacity,improve the beneficiation index,and reduce the beneficiation cost,the whole process of crushing,ball milling,flotation,dewatering and the technical parameters of the Shaanxi Dongtangzi Lead-Zinc Mine have been optimized. The crushing operation was modified by increasing the pre-screening and changing the vibrating screen mesh to stainless steel wire, which reduced the particle size of the crushing from 21 mm to 14 mm and increased the crushing ratio from 16.67 to 25. The ball milling operation explored the optimal steel ball filling rate of 42.39%,the steel con⁃ sumption of 0.58 kg/t and formulated the optimal steel ball addition system,the processing capacity of the ball mill has been increased from 1 000 t/d to 1 100 t/d. The flotation process was modified by applying the potential control flotation technology. After applying the MB collector,Z-1 flotation agent and BK20 as frother and optimizing the flotation reagent system,the process was changed to single series operation under the condition of keeping the production capacity unchanged,and the metal recovery rates of lead,zinc and silver were increased by 2.55,2.04 and 5.31 percentage points,respectively. The cost of mineral processing has significantly decreased. After the application of ceramic filter machine in dehydration operations,the production efficiency and automation level have been improved,and the moisture content of the lead and zinc concentrate filter cake has decreased to 12% and 9%,respectively. The mine has increased its produc⁃ tion capacity by 10% and the metal recovery rate by 6.385 1 million yuan per year through the optimization of mineral processing process and technical parameters,saving 6.773 4 million yuan per year in production costs,and generating a total economic benefit of 13.158 5 million yuan per year,which is considerable.
