Development of a New Vertical Ring High Gradient Magnetic Separator

In order to solve the problems of uneven magnetic field distribution and low magnetic induc⁃
tion intensity at the middle end of the existing vertical ring high gradient magnetic separator,a new vertical
ring high gradient magnetic separator is developed. The new vertical ring high gradient magnetic separator
generates a strong magnetic field in the arc area of the middle end by adding a second magnetic system and a
coil on the middle end of the first magnetic system. The magnetic induction intensity is kept close to the
main separation area,which solves the problem of sharp attenuation of magnetic induction intensity at the
middle ore end. The magnetic particles can be firmly adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic medium,and
will not return to the tailings,which will not affect the separation index. The new vertical ring high gradient
magnetic separator has the advantages of uniform magnetic field,large enrichment ratio,high beneficiation
efficiency,large processing capacity and low beneficiation cost. For fine-grained feebly magnetic iron min⁃
erals,better separation indexes can be obtained,and the market application prospect is broad.
