In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of large ore detection and sorting of belt con⁃ veyor,and reduce the labor intensity and safety risk of workers,a large iron ore sorting robot system based on machine vision is designed and put into application.The industrial application shows that the system can efficiently and accurately sort large ore with particle size of 200~800 mm. The large ore identification meth⁃ od and sorting mechanical mechanism have good stability and accuracy,and the comprehensive accuracy of large ore identification and sorting reaches 90%.
