In recent years,BIM technology in civil construction industry has developed rapidly. It is imperative to apply it to the design of non-ferrous metallurgical mines,and to change the current situation of manual calculation and application of AutoCAD plug-in. In order to realize the parametric design of the dump,the parametric design process was studied based on the Civil 3D component editor (SAC) combined with the design experience of the dump and the computer language. According to the cross-sectional form of the dump,a parametric model of multi-level slope components was created,which realized rapid modeling, conversion of three-dimensional model to two-dimensional drawings,and accurate calculation of dump stor⁃ age capacity.The three-dimensional parametric design technology of dump based on SAC promotes the im⁃ provement of design efficiency and accuracy,and summarizes the application process of parametric design technology in the design process of dump,which provides reference for similar projects.
