Abstract: When the roof of underground mine is stable and difficult to fall naturally，it is easy to form a large goaf and produce a large safety hazard. By analyzing the technical conditions of the mine，the caving characteristics of the roof are studied，and the deep hole blasting induced caving method combined with local caving and roof cutting weakening is designed to deal with the large goaf. After successful implementation，the scheme basically eliminates the potential safety hazards of super-large goaf and has reference value for similar projects.
