Abstract: In order to systematically summarize the prospecting results of magnesian clay deposits in the Huze-Fengyang area of Fenyi County，Jiangxi Province，and provide reference for the prospecting of magnesian clay deposits in the area，four areas of Bailutang，Shibaoshan，Shangshanbei and Guishan were taken as the research objects. The basic geological characteristics of the study area were investigated，and the distribution range，scale，occurrence and ore quality of magnesian clay deposits were analyzed. The re⁃ sults show that the magnesian clay ore bodies are mostly ( like ) layered，and the mineral components are mainly talc，quartz and calcite. The average content of beneficial chemical composition MgO was 22.35%. The natural type of ore is talc-type magnesia clay，and the industrial type is magnesia clay ore for ceramic raw materials. The genetic type of the deposit is weathering residual type.
