Abstract: A quartz sand ore from Malaysia has SiO2 content of 79.45%,Fe2O3 content of 1.48%, TiO2 content of 1.04%,which belongs to a common quartz sand raw material. In order to obtain super stan⁃ dard quartz sand products with high efficiency,low cost and no pollution,purification research with new process was carried out. The results showed that the super standard quartz sand products with Fe2O3 content of 0.007 8% and SiO2 content of 99.90% can be obtained after treated by crushing,washing,intelligent separation and waste disposal,grinding,one roughing and one cleaning in high-intensity magnetic separa⁃ tion process for the ores. The new process has the characteristics of simple process,conventional equip⁃ ment,low cost and no pollution,which has popularization and application value.
