Abstract: Uniaxial compressive strength is an important physical and mechanical parameter of rock, which is especially important for engineering design and on-site construction. The conventional methodolo⁃ gy for obtaining uniaxial compressive strength of rock is mechanical test, the process is complicated. There⁃ fore,it is of great significance to explore the rapid prediction methodology of rock uniaxial compressive strength by establishing the relationship between uniaxial compressive strength and rock physical parame⁃ ters. The P-wave modulus of granite is obtained based on its density and wave velocity. At the same time, the uniaxial compressive strength of granite is obtained through testing. Adopting regression analysis, the fitting relationship between uniaxial compressive strength and P-wave modulus is established, thus obtain⁃ ing the methodology for deriving mechanical parameters from physical parameters. It has been proved that the significance of the regression equation is good and can better predict the uniaxial compressive strength of granite.
