Abstract: The ultralow emission of industrial flue gas has brought about a sharp increase in the types and quantities of byproducts of gas cleaning system. However,it brings about difficults of recover and utility the byproducts effectively.Based on the component analysis of the haydite, precipitator dust, used as the pottery component, and expired activated coke, used as the gas component, were mixed with clay for a suitable ratio of raw materials. The L9(33)orthogonal experiment model was selected in the firing process of ceramsite. The results showed that the optimum proportion was 41.7%~45.5% of clay,4.5%~8.3% of expired activated coke and 50.0% of precipitator dust in quality, and the optimum roasting system was drying at 100 ℃ for 30 minutes, preheating at 400 ℃ for 15 minutes, roasting at 1 150 ℃ for 15 minutes, and natural cooling. The bulk density, cylindrical compress strength, water absorption in 1h and leaching concentration of heavy metal of the fired ceramsite all met the national standards.
